This past weekend, Archdeacon Bill Dunlop and his wife, Amy, visited Christ the King Episcopal Church in Sturgeon Bay and Holy Nativity Episcopal Church in Jacksonport.

Archdeacon Bill served and preached alongside the Rev. Glenn Kanestrom, who oversees the Diocese of Wisconsin’s School for Deacons. Both congregations offered a warm welcome and showed a wonderful interest in learning more about the ministry and calling of deacons.

Enjoy these photos from their visits!

St. Luke's Children's Formation class on Sunday, October 18th:
The children and their parents gathered to continue learning about prayer, focusing on one of the simplest and most meaningful prayers we can offer: “Thank You!” As we connect prayer with stewardship, we explored why we are grateful for St. Luke’s and our church community.

The children shared some of the things they appreciate about our church, including play, snacks, the Sunday school room, cake, friends, candles, and coloring! Their answers remind us that it is often the little things that bring us joy and make our church feel special. As we look ahead to our upcoming Stewardship Season, we will share the children’s words with the parish as a reminder of the many blessings we enjoy at St. Luke’s. The children remind us all to give thanks for the big things, the little things, and everything in between

Light of Christ Grant Brings Music and Improvements to St. John in the Wilderness

St. John in the Wilderness in Elkhorn put its $2,000 Light of Christ Grant to good use! The congregation purchased new microphones for worship, installed security cameras, made much-needed entryway repairs, and supported its Music on the Garth series, offering free outdoor concerts to the community throughout the summer.

From improving worship and hospitality to bringing neighbors together through music, this grant is helping St. John's continue to shine its light in Elkhorn!
