FT Rector/Dean | Cathedral Church of St. Paul, Fond du Lac, WI
The Cathedral Church of St. Paul in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, seeks a faithful, relational, and collaborative priest to serve as its next rector and dean. Rooted in more than 150 years of Anglo-Catholic tradition, St. Paul’s is a welcoming, Christ-centered congregation where beautiful worship, fellowship, and service are central to parish life.
Worship centers on participatory Anglo-Catholic liturgy, with Sunday Mass and a weekly healing Mass. The congregation values reverent worship, sacred music, and the beauty of its historic Cathedral, while also looking toward renewed growth and deeper engagement with the wider community.
St. Paul’s has experienced encouraging growth, with average Sunday attendance rising from 34 to 50 and young families and children once again becoming part of parish life. Its outreach includes the Broken Bread Food Pantry, community meal partnerships, recovery groups, neighborhood events, concerts, and the beloved Mouse Factory ministry.
The congregation seeks a rector/dean who is approachable, pastorally grounded, and collaborative; who can inspire through preaching and teaching; strengthen Christian formation and lay leadership; support continued growth; and help the parish connect more intentionally with its diverse neighborhood. As dean of one of the Diocese of Wisconsin’s three historic cathedrals, the priest will also collaborate with the Bishop and fellow cathedral deans in diocesan ministry.

Founded in 1844 and established as a parish in 1848, Christ Church is a small, whole-hearted congregation with deep roots in a quintessential Midwestern town. Director of Music for Christ Church, Whitefish Bay
Christ Church is a growing, inclusive, multi-generational parish just minutes from downtown Milwaukee. Sacred music drives this parish into the love and mystery of God, and our worship is rooted in a traditional choral Eucharist while embracing a broad range of musical styles. Our later service averages 175 people, offering significant opportunities to expand and deepen the program.
This position begins January 1, 2027 and requires approximately 20-25 hours/week September through May, and 5-10 hours/week June through August. During the summer, we offer an outdoor service in our large garden courtyard. Organ performance is much preferred; however, we will consider separating the organist role and adjusting compensation accordingly.
