📍 St. Luke’s, Bay View
This past Sunday, St. Luke’s Bay View celebrated the Rev. Jason Lavann’s 20th anniversary of ordained ministry. Ordained in the Roman Catholic Church in 2006 and received as an Episcopal priest in 2013, Fr. Jason has spent two decades serving God’s people with generosity, humor, and deep pastoral care.
Since being called to St. Luke’s in 2016, Fr. Jason has guided the parish through seasons of renewal, growth, and transformation. During the celebration, parish leaders presented him with gifts from the congregation, including a custom bobblehead that brought plenty of laughter. The congregation then gathered around him for the laying on of hands and prayers of thanksgiving, giving thanks for the countless lives touched through his ministry.
As one parishioner reflected, Fr. Jason has a gift for "encouraging and building others up," pouring himself into the life of the Church and helping others discover the joy of faith and community. St. Luke’s celebrated not only twenty years of ordained ministry, but the many ways God has worked through Fr. Jason's faithful service.
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his mercy endures for ever.” (Psalm 136:1)

2️⃣0️⃣ Twenty Years of Faithful Ministry
📍 St. Paul’s, Watertown
The men of St. Paul’s gathered this week for an evening of fellowship, sharing stories, enjoying brats and beans, and strengthening the relationships that help sustain parish life. Moments like these remind us that community is often built around simple things: a shared meal, good conversation, and time spent together.

📍 Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, Sun Prairie
These past few Sundays, the people of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Sun Prairie celebrated a Pentecost full of color, joy, and new beginnings. Dressed in red to mark the coming of the Holy Spirit, the congregation gathered to celebrate both the Feast of Pentecost and the sacrament of Holy Baptism, welcoming a new member into the household of faith.
Pentecost reminds us that God's Spirit continues to move among us, calling, renewing, and gathering people into Christ's body. What a fitting day to celebrate new life in faith through the waters of baptism.
That same spirit of renewal extends beyond the church walls. This spring, Good Shepherd also gathered to bless its community garden ministry. The parish maintains 20 raised garden beds for community members who may not have space or access to grow food where they live. One dedicated bed provides fresh produce for Sunshine Place, the local food pantry.
The impact is significant. Last year, the garden ministry contributed more than 240 pounds of fresh produce through the parish bed and donations from fellow gardeners. What begins as seeds in the soil becomes nourishment for neighbors, a living expression of faith rooted in service, stewardship, and community.
From the baptismal font to the garden beds, Good Shepherd continues to nurture growth, cultivate belonging, and share God's abundance with the wider community.
