Description:
The 82nd General Convention is the triennial governing gathering of The Episcopal Church, bringing together bishops and elected deputies from every diocese for worship, legislative sessions, and discernment on the mission and future of the Church.
Meeting as a bicameral legislature—including the House of Bishops and the House of Deputies—the General Convention considers resolutions that shape churchwide policies, priorities, and ministry for the next three years.
The convention will also include daily worship, opportunities for fellowship, and collaborative conversations addressing key issues facing the Church. The triennial meeting of Episcopal Church Women will be held concurrently.
Planning is underway in collaboration with leaders, including Presiding Bishop Sean Rowe and House of Deputies President Julia Ayala Harris, with a focus on creating an innovative and meaningful convention experience.
