Church Safety & Emergency Preparedness Training

The Diocese of Wisconsin invites clergy, parish leaders, staff, vestry members, ushers, and others involved in church safety and emergency preparedness to a three-hour training led by the Rev. Timothy Kingsley, Director for Logistics and Risk for The Episcopal Church.

What We'll Cover

The workshop will provide practical guidance and opportunities for discussion around:

  • Emergency management and emergency planning

  • Conducting and using risk assessments

  • Threat assessment and behavioral indicators

  • Active violence prevention

  • Active violence response strategies

  • Applying safety and preparedness practices in parish settings

The workshop is designed to be interactive, with conversation and table discussions helping participants consider how these principles apply within their own congregations.

Morning Session

Each workshop is approximately three hours.

Space at each training is limited to approximately 40 participants to allow for meaningful conversation and interaction.
