Episcopal Church Will Bless Animals
Saint Francis of Assisi, patron saint of Italy, ecology, and animals, is often celebrated by blessing animals on his feast day, the first Sunday in October. Continuing this tradition, Father Olin Sletto, Vicar of the Episcopal Church of Christ the King and Holy Nativity, offers two opportunities for a Blessing of the Animals.
Pet owners may bring their animals to:
Lakeside Park in Jacksonport – Tuesday, September 30 (Farmers Market day), 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
Christ the King Church, Sturgeon Bay – Saturday, October 4, 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
Location: Corner of Michigan Street and 5th Avenue. Parking lot entrance on 5th Avenue.
