Table Talk: The Future of Church & Worship
St. Mary's Dousman
On August 18, the Kettle Moraine Region clergy met for our quarterly clergy lunch at St. Mary’s in Dousman. We shared lunch, good news and enjoyed supportive conversation. For the second half of our time together, we gathered in two small groups to consider the 3rd and 4th ranking topic that clergy indicated was important to them on a survey sent to them in March. At the March meeting, we addressed “Clergy Self-care” and “Christian Formation.” During this meeting, clergy considered “The Future of the Church” and “Worship, Liturgy and Music.”

Shelter from the Storm 3 Year Anniversary
Good Shephard Sun Prairie
This week GSEC celebrated their 3-year anniversary of sharing a meal each month with Shelter From the Storm Ministries, the homeless shelter for families in Sun Prairie. Each month volunteers share a complete, homemade meal with the moms and kids living there while transitioning from homelessness. The two communities gather to share the meal which allows GSEC to be there so the moms can eat a meal while someone holds the little ones. The ministry lets the families know there are fellow followers of Christ that care about them in the greater community. This week's epistle was a reminder to fun the race before us with perseverance and GSEC has done just that, persevering with the families over the past 3 years.

Children’s Formation
St. Luke's Bay View - Milwaukee
Today's theme was .. and on the 7th Day, He rested.
St. Luke's children and parents learned about what God did after God created everything that exists (hint: it wasn't much, but it was holy!). We heard that God rested so God could delight in creation! God wants us to practice rest in our lives too, so that we can delight in the gift and goodness of God and this life.

School Supply Support
St. Luke’s - Bay View
On Sunday, August 17th, Father Jason and St. Luke's - Bay View parish gathered to bless the supplies donated for the entire 3rd grade class at Malaika Early Learning Center for the 2025-26 school year! In just a few weeks, parish members donated over $800.00 for school supplies for Malaika, an early education center in the Harambee Neighborhood in Milwaukee.
This amount, along with some supplies that were also donated, allowed St. Luke's to provide all of the supplies for the entire 3rd grade class at Malaika once again!
Since 2018, St. Luke's has supported Malaika in their mission to establish a strong academic, social and emotional foundation in the lives of Milwaukee’s economically disadvantaged children, all of whom deserve opportunities for excellence in education regardless of their socio-economic situations or family structure.
