Bishop and Puppies at Waupaca

📍 Church of the Holy Communion, Lake Geneva

🐾 Waupaca, WI — It’s been a wildly blessed few weeks at St. Mark’s Waupaca!

On September 28, we welcomed Bishop Matt for a joyful visitation — a Sunday filled with spirit, song, and only the occasional nervous glance at the bishop’s miter (we promise everyone behaved… mostly).

Then, just a week later on October 5, the churchyard turned into something straight out of Noah’s Ark (Wisconsin Edition) as dozens of pets arrived for the annual Blessing of the Animals. Dogs, cats, and a few creatures of mysterious origin all gathered to receive their holy pats and treats.

From shepherding souls one week to herding puppies the next — St. Mark’s has truly covered the full range of pastoral care! 🐶😇

St. Luke's Bay View Peace Project

📍 St Luke’s, Bay View

Parishioners Amy and Steve Cook are helping grow the church’s beloved Butterfly Garden with a new addition called The Peace Project — a space meant to share the calm and spiritual renewal they’ve found at St. Luke’s with others.

On October 19, members of all ages gathered to paint small stones with messages of peace — part art project, part prayer. Children and parents joined in through the Children’s Formation program, filling the day with color, laughter, and blessing.

This spring, the garden will welcome a Peace Pole and reflection bench beside the painted stones — a lasting invitation to pause, breathe, and find peace in the presence of God and community. 🌿

An Evening of Harmony

📍 All Saints, Appleton

Music filled the sanctuary at All Saints Appleton on October 22 during the latest concert in the Music at All Saints series!

Guest artists Addison Teng and Amy Hess of the Fulton Chamber Players performed a stunning program for a small but enthusiastic audience, showcasing both talent and heart.

Free-will donations from the evening supported the Fulton Music Society’s ongoing work with young musicians — a beautiful reminder of how art and generosity can harmonize in perfect tune. 🎻✨

Tell Out My Soul @ St. Luke’s

📍St. Luke’s, Bay View

It was a joyful Sunday at St. Luke’s Bay View as the parish celebrated the Feast of St. Luke and kicked off their “Tell Out My Soul” stewardship campaign!

Led by Fr. Jason, Amy Cook, Joyce Britt, and David Bernstein, the celebration was filled with gratitude, song, and (of course) delicious fellowship.

☕️ Coffee hour was extra sweet with a themed “Tell Out My Soul” cake and treats so cute they were almost too good to eat — complete with ghosts, bat eyes, and pumpkins to keep things festive.

Faith, food, and fun — the St. Luke’s trifecta! 🧡

The Zion G.O.A.T. Soap Solution!

📍 Zion, Oconomowoc

Members and friends of the Zion Oconomowoc Outreach Team gathered on a picture-perfect Saturday morning for brunch, fellowship, and service!

After one member generously donated an entire pallet of handcrafted goat’s milk soap (in every scent and color imaginable), the team decided the best way to use it wasn’t selling—but sharing.

Each bar was wrapped and labeled with care, then donated to local ministries supporting women and families in crisis, transition, or reentry. That’s hundreds—maybe thousands!—of reminders of love, care, and beauty pointing toward a loving God.

💛 What a joy to add to the beauty and hope around us. Thanks be to God!

18 Dogs + 4 Cats + 1 Rabbit = Joy

📍St. Luke’s, Bay View

🐾 Bay View, WI — Parish members and neighbors gathered at St. Luke’s Bay View on October 4 to celebrate the Feast of St. Francis with a joyful Pet Blessing!

More than 35 people attended as 18 dogs, 4 cats, and one rabbit received blessings (and plenty of treats). Father Jason’s dog, Blue, even wore a stole and served as an enthusiastic assistant!

A beautiful day to give thanks for all God’s creatures — great, small, furry, and feathered. 🕊️

Convention Funnies

📍 DioWis Annual Convention 2025

St Luke’s Racine and St James Manitowoc take the sharing table to a new level. Full disclosure, this was a recycled box that was given a new purpose, carrying some papers, but it did make for a humorous double take!

📸 Spotlight: Your Convention Moments!

We loved seeing Convention through your eyes! Some of the beautiful photos you shared — from laughter around tables to the Spirit alive in worship — perfectly capture the heart of who we are as a diocese.

These snapshots from the gathered assembly, the joyful liturgy, and those in-between moments remind us what it means to be one body, many gifts, together in Christ.

✨ We’re especially grateful for those who submitted photos (yes, these are yours!) and can’t wait to share even more in our upcoming Special Issue celebrating one year reunited as the Diocese of Wisconsin.

Stay tuned — beauty, gratitude, and a whole lot of joy are on the way. ❤️
