A Priest's Priest DeKoven Day Regional Fellowship Gathering a Success! Holy Spirit moves in Waupaca Nozy Installation in NHB Living the Fruit

A Priest’s Priest

📍 Church of the Holy Communion, Lake Geneva

Lake Geneva’s Church of the Holy Communion recently celebrated Father James Kaestner as their Priest Emeritus. Father Kaestner served the parish over 20 years ago as its vicar, but has never forgotten the people of Holy Communion, serving at weddings, funerals and as a supply priest. Holy Communion’s current rector, Father Ryan Delaney, called Father Kaestner “a priest’s priest”. There was a celebration dinner at Tuscan Grill, Lake Geneva. DeKoven Day

📍 DeKoven Center, Racine

A beautiful day celebrating James DeKoven Day in Racine with the Lakeshore clergy gathering! 📖✨ Author John Magerus shared insights from his book and received an honorary degree from Racine College, presented by Fr. Jeff Ward in historic Taylor Hall. After a shared meal, we gathered in St. Mary’s Chapel for Holy Eucharist and prayers at the tomb of James DeKoven. The day closed with a book signing back in Taylor Hall—an inspiring blend of history, fellowship, and faith.

Portia offered words of gratitude and a blessing for their tireless dedication and service. The evening was filled with fellowship, salad, spaghetti, and plenty of delicious desserts! 🍝

Living the Fruits

📍St. Simon the Fisherman, Port Washington

Members of St. Simon the Fisherman, Port Washington, gathered on 3 Saturday mornings for a conversation on faith, led by parishioner Kent Larimer (right).  Fr. Julian Hills (2nd from right) attended and listened. We used Sophia Theodore's 2025 book Living the Fruit of the Spirit Every Day to generate discussion points

Holy Spirit at Waupaca

📍St. Mark’s, Waupaca

The Holy Spirit is alive and moving at St. Mark’s, Waupaca! This morning, we celebrated two baptisms, five confirmations, and welcomed nine more into the fellowship of this communion. 🌟 St. Mark’s is a congregation that takes discipleship seriously—encouraging members to go deeper in their walk with Christ, serving food to the hungry, ministering to migrants, and offering refuge to those who have been hurt by past church experiences. Above all, it is a place of joy and welcome for all.

Nozy’s Installation in NHB

📍Northern Highland Benefice, Grace Rice Lake

The parish gathered in joy and thanksgiving to celebrate the installation of Rev. Dr. Mother Nozipho Dlodlo as rector of the Northern Highland Benefice. The Northern Highlands Benefice brings together four close-knit Episcopal congregations—Grace in Rice Lake, St. Alban’s in Spooner, St. Luke’s in Springbrook, and Ascension in Hayward—into one shared ministry grounded in ancient faith and modern connection. The service was filled with beauty, reverence, and hope for the future as prayers, music, and blessings marked this critical moment in the life of the congregation.

Following worship, the celebration continued with a toast in honor of Mother Nozy, recognizing her gifts of leadership, faith, and vision. Laughter, fellowship, and heartfelt words were shared as parishioners and guests joined together to mark this new chapter in ministry.

It was a day of Spirit-filled joy and community, setting the tone for the vibrant journey ahead under Mother Nozy’s leadership.
