👓 A Clearer View of Love 🕯️ Light Revealed: Epiphany Lessons & Carols 📚 A Blessing You Can Take Home 🎄A Holy Night, Held Together 🎶 Advent in Song

📍 St. Alban’s, Sussexs

In December, St. Alban’s Episcopal Church collected eyeglasses in honor of St. Lucy, the patron saint of sight.

This collection was especially meaningful to us through Fr. Dean, whose mother worked with people who are visually impaired and shared her deep love and care for that community with our parish. We were also moved to hear from a parishioner whose brother, an optician, has had the privilege of personally delivering donated glasses to people in South America.

A small act of generosity—offering clearer vision and sharing Christ’s light. 👓✨.

🕯️ Light Revealed: Epiphany Lessons & Carols

📍 St. John’s, Sparta.

On January 4, St. John’s Episcopal Church gathered for Epiphany Lessons and Carols, hearing the many manifestations—the epiphanies—of God in Jesus Christ through song and scripture.

We traced the story from the Magi recognizing the Christ child, to Simeon naming Jesus as Messiah in the temple, to Jesus revealed as God’s beloved at his baptism in the Jordan, and finally to his first sign at the wedding in Cana.

Despite wintry weather that could have kept many at home, the church was full. The evening ended with warm fellowship in the parish hall—hot cider, coffee, cookies, and grateful conversation.

With thanks to Mother Kathy Charles for sharing this beautiful celebration of Epiphany.

📚 A Blessing You Can Take Home

📍 St. Luke’s, Bay View
Just in time for the New Year and Epiphany, St. Luke’s Episcopal Church is delighted to welcome a brand-new Little Free Library!

Special thanks to parish members Mike and Linda Bossow—Mike custom-built and installed the book box, and Linda selected its cheerful colors. Located near the Euclid Street entrance, this “blessings box” is part of a worldwide book-sharing movement where neighbors are invited to take a book and leave a book, nurturing literacy, generosity, and community connection.

May it be a small Epiphany—light revealed through shared stories, right outside our doors.

📍St. Luke’s, Bay View

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church welcomed neighbors and families for worship on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. With a little help from mom and dad, Paisley lit the Advent candles. Hank opened the Christmas Eve service with a special prayer, and his big sister Leona proclaimed the first Lesson.

One of the most tender moments came as candles were lit and the church filled with voices singing “Silent Night”—a reminder of how Christ’s light is shared from person to person, generation to generation.

🎄A Holy Night, Held Together

📍Christ the King Episcopal Church, Sturgeon Bay

On December 7, Christ the King Episcopal Church gathered for an Advent Concert, sharing music that invited reflection, hope, and quiet anticipation during the holy season.

Through song and community, the evening offered space to pause, listen, and prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ—an Advent gift of beauty and grace.
