📍 St. Luke’s, Bay View
This past Sunday at St. Dunstan’s, we gathered for one of our All-Ages Service Projects—a time when the whole parish family comes together to serve our neighbors in a hands-on, meaningful way. Folks of all ages helped pack bags with hats, gloves, and socks for unhoused members of our wider community, and we took a moment to learn about the ministries that will help these items reach the people who need them most.
The supplies were made possible through a development grant, and we’re grateful for the chance to extend warmth and care beyond our walls. One of the most touching parts of the morning was the group’s insistence that every bag include a handwritten note—simple messages of encouragement and kindness to remind each recipient that they are seen and loved.
It was a beautiful morning of learning, service, and shared compassion at St. Dunstan’s.

🧣A Joyful week at St. Bart’s in Pewaukee!
📍 St. Barts, Pewaukee
What a joyful and spirit-filled week at St. Bart’s in Pewaukee! They were honored to welcome Bishop Matt on Sunday for a full and spirited celebration of Confirmations, Receptions, and new Memberships. Congratulations to all our Confirmands and to those Received into the Episcopal Church. Bishop Matt signed 13 Confirmation, 6 Reception, and 2 Membership certificates, each featuring the beautiful watercolor designs of their own Dulcie Shupe.
Our altar servers led a wonderful procession, and the sanctuary was full of energy, joy, and the unmistakable presence of the Spirit. (Keep scrolling—yes, there are photos!) Earlier in the week, Bishop Matt spent time with our Youth Group, asking thoughtful questions about the challenges young people face today. He also presided at their mid-week Eucharist with staff from Breaking the Chains Church and brothers from Cheney Correctional Center—a moving service of shared worship.
They also enjoyed a warm parish potluck with the Bishop. Deep thanks to Carol Cohen, Joan Hart, and Diane Bardenwerper for their hours of preparation, and to Billy Killeen for spending meaningful time with our brothers on Thursday.
To close out the week, some of our Breaking the Chains partners and St. Bart’s members hosted the monthly luncheon for the men from Cheney. Special thanks to Dave and Eric Woods for their hard work—especially helping “flip the room” between events.

When the Light Begins to Sing!
As evening falls at St. Matthias in Waukesha, the sanctuary shifts into a place of stillness and color. The stained-glass windows, vibrant even in the fading light, cast soft blues, reds, and golds across the empty pews. It is a moment when the church feels both expansive and intimate—a reminder of the generations who have prayed here and the Spirit that continues to dwell in this sacred space.

📍 Christ Church Cathedral, Eau Claire
Christ Church Cathedral has been busy sharing dignity, gratitude, and care with our neighbors this season.
With incredible support from the Eau Claire community, Cathedral members, and generous donors from near and far, the congregation packed 103 Thanksgiving boxes to ensure local families had everything they needed to celebrate the holiday with dignity. Each box represented a community coming together—food gathered, sorted, and shared with love.
And the generosity didn’t stop there. Additional donations from the Diocese and wider community have already made it possible to prepare another 100 boxes for Christmas, helping even more families experience hope and abundance during the holiday season.
A beautiful testament to what happens when compassion multiplies.
